*The Two Sisters* is a touching television drama that focuses on the reactions of people to being cut off from their families as well as the consequences of the parents’ divorce. The story is based on two sisters Lee Hye-won, and Lee Hye-ji who were once inseparable friends but the bitter divorce of their parents takes them on different paths which are not easy. In the movie as adults Hye-won seems to have the perfect one that is lonely and has to obey her stepmother and marry for money.
On the other hand, Hye-ji is depicted as poor and being a victim of domestic violence that changes her identity to Bae Do Eun. Their reunion evokes passion, and having became rivals after losing affection turning into hate, they both share a terrible childhood. Through the power of screnplay, the serie does built tension up with excellent dialogues that reveal character backgrounds as sides of the story are explored and developed where as sometimes it may suffer from pacing problem.
However, the shade that is given to the supporting characters is inconsistent, some of the characters are underdeveloped, which hinders depth leading to a less rich storyline. By compositions the dramatic effect is underlined and makes the series richer. Last but not the least, *The Two Sisters* yields itself as a strong stand on love and reconciliation with the audiences eased into the duet of sisterhood as the end phase of narrative thinking highlights requisite beauty that is inherently tied down to scripts of shared painful history of sisters.
