Lost in Love S01 - (review)

Lost In Love Season 1 is a gripping melodrama series, which plunges the audience into the world of agitated emotions, dealing with the variants of obstinate love, family secrets, and gender norms of the society. The series brilliantly manages to combine scenes of sweet intimacy with dramatic scenes of high stakes, bringing out emotions of missing, heartbreak and hope. With its complex plot lines, the movie tends to keep its audience on the edge allowing characters to weave their way through a web of treason, sacrifice, and unrequited passion, and it is hardly possible not to get involved in their stories.

The inherent spine of the series is Incila who follows a down-to-earth path of patience with unreciprocated passion. Her emotional weakness and quiet self-sacrifice represent the anguish of love that lived in dark crevices that in her moments of rebellion and despair make all the more visceral. The acting is quite convincing especially the role of Mete to empathize his clash of masculinity and how Incila draws on her strength to survive. The is recognized with purposeful pacing and cinematography that contrasts warm, intimate rooms with cold exteriors which represent secrets and the pressing nature of society and adds to the further immersion in this complicated world.

Overall, what I connected with in “Lost In Love” was its theme of love being strong through the worst of situations. There is much melodrama and plot twistiness, as well as some convolution, but this drama has good intentions and excellent acting, and these factors make it more than just a piece of entertainment. It is a touching reminder that behind the shade of darkness and challenges human spirit is able to love and hope. It is an emotional search into the world human feelings-a must read for anyone who has faith in the life-altering ability of love.
