”I Spit on Your Grave,” a motion picture produced by Meir Zarchi is a product of the seventies applied to cinematographic vengeance and survival. Porning plot about the movie, the protagonist, Jennifer Hills, portrayed by Camille Keaton plans to get a break in a cabin by the lake only to be raped by.local thugs. The first is a silent introduction to what is yet to be seen, and it is all the more horrible because of this in the film.
Transferring from the victim into a vengeful female, this part of the story shows change plot, which makes the viewer to grasp the notion of justice and moral. This is supported by a cast which plays society: With such violence in their hands regarding women, the film evokes disgusting feelings and goose bumps. It is this effective in cinematography in shooting for peace and at the same time, shooting for ugliness and the audience is left lonely.
The film can however be shocking and irrespective of the amount of sophistication and trauma portrayed critics could easily make the charge that parts of this move towards exploitation. It made me ask questions about violence against women, justice or lack of it, and remained in the heart of the onlooker long after the movie through defining thoughts that are very ‘gross-out. It is a very real hard cheerful mission of making a movie which needs to be seen and thought through.
