AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Bhimaa - (review)

Bhimaa is a tense movie that fits the perfect trilogy of mysticism, crime and emotional drama, with the colorful scenery of a mystical temple town in Karnataka. This is a thriller which tells the reader about strange occurrences that were happening around an ancient temple as detected by a detective, which leads to the discovery of dark secrets of illegal trafficking and unethical experiments. The feeling of the film is alternating between the peaceful religiousness of the rural Indian countryside and the desolate world of the underworld, and it makes a persuasive combination that keeps the viewer hooked. This story is written based on the elements of religion and morality and how human being seeks to evade death and the supernatural justice is found long after the credits rolls.

The acting is honest and effective, particularly of the lead who plays SI Bhimaa, whose stone crushing determination well brings out internal struggle and un-shakable determination. The story is also introduced to spiritual flavor through his relations with a compassionate teacher Vidya whose ideas are based on the knowledge of Ayurvedic traditions. The villain character, Ravindra Varma, is persuasively evil and the personification of moral decay that lies behind the holy scenery. The visual presentation of the film is top notch, perfectly pitting serene temple settings against dark criminal sewers, which is combined with a bleak soundtrack adding tension and pathos to the plot.

Although *Bhimaa* is very well directed, has great visuals and emotional portrayals, it sometimes tends to be overly ambitious when it comes to exploring the supernatural with crime thriller aesthetics. However, its heart, based on sorrow, moral and expiation, makes it an impressive and touching one. The power of hope and strength during blackness in the movie makes the film even more unforgettable exposition of the faith and human spirit itself, and the final impression is that of courage and good right.
