Tyler Perry started out by writing a legal thriller which he titled Duplicity which tells us about the story of successful attorney Marley who finds herself squirming to defend her best friends husband after he miraculously escaped death when he was shot. In the statement, the set-up is interesting since the personal commitments of Marley influence the strength of her character and forces people to evaluate her capability to remain unbiased despite the sadness and devotion.
