Wrong Turn - (review)

*Wrong Turn* is entertaining horror-thriller headed by Mike P. Nelson that gives a slashers subgenre new breath discussing survival and pure fear. The major characters are Chris Flynn and his friends, who having met an accident with their car in the West Virginia woods are taken through a terrorous nightmare.

Chris, the less enthusiastic leader of the group, faces increasing evils in a gloomy forest which is very much a character here and overtly beautiful cinematography as well a good music score. Using mere makeup and great special effects in the scenes, three antagonists of the film are mountain men cannibals. But, some of them might remind of slasher flicks, the constant rhythm does not let viewers get bored, the combination of active scenes and absolutely quiet ones also adds to it.

To the core, one can find survival and the breaking point of spirit as well as the nervousness of being chased. *Wrong Turn* delivers gasoline-thrilling chills, and that makes this film worth inviting for horror enthusiasts; words will leave a feeling of post-terror anxiety, uniting the traditions of horror with a new approach to survival.
