AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Veer - (review)

The historical drama combines with romance as “Veer” unfolds its narrative in colonial India. Through its narrative structure the film presents revenge and forbidden love together with cultural conflict and individual conflict elements. Throughout the story a father travels on a journey of revenge. He sends his only son to fight inside the middle of enemy control. The principal personage presents an elaborate psychological state since he faces a constant battle between his responsibility and his wishes.

The film creates visual perfection through its detailed production artwork which allows viewers to experience a vanished historical period. The imagery throughout the film reveals both the breathtaking scenic beauty of Indian landscapes and the extravagant royal courts as well as the harsh conditions of war. The film score perfectly matches the emotions present in each visual sequence. The film strives to obtain epic proportions but misses some of its intended greatness.

The film maintains its appeal even though it has various weak points. Its narrative about love between enemies sends a messages which hits home because revenge proves useless while the heart of man continues to flourish. Special effects and dialogue issues do exist but the film delivers its core message about sacrifice and loyalty and identity through its stunning visuals and therefore proves worth watching.
