One try to made some elements seem like contour of current war movies locates in the Fin post WWII, ‘Sisu,’ a film, is directed by Jalmari Helander. The whole movie is built around a gold prospector Aatami Korpi, whose part is played by Jorma Tommaila, and Nazis who wished to get the money for which the latter was searching.
This battle is keenly illustrated because Tommaila very well depicts a soldier role in ambiance of Aatam. Helanders direction is rather profound and laconic in the movie, as he does not chase any needlessly drawn out, complicated story, but uses action scenes and good shots which represent Finland. Merged to the great music into the films, Aatamis troubles are well brought out to depict her transformation.
The film may be somewhat heavy on the karts and, while there are a couple of scenes that will perhaps be too bloody for the sensibilities of some viewers, Saku evokes “Sisu” and, in so doing, manages to distill a revenge flick into yet other elements of survival and spirit of the survivor in the human being. All in all, the film enlarges the factor to consider relative to the question of the ‘staying power and shame’ insofar as situations go.
