Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2 - (review)

“Pushpa: ”The Rule – Part 2” is the sequel to the already grand “Pushpa: The Rise,” directed by Sukumar. The film increases the tension of the previous one and gives viewers a chance to look at the world of sandalwood smuggling from a new perspective in terms of power, identity and redemption. Stardom has never let Allu Arjun age; he looks incredibly suave pulling off the role of the red sandal smuggling racket leader Pushpa who has charm, strength and sensitivity especially towards his wife Srivalli played by Rashmika Mandanna.

This brings in the conflict with the arrival of Bhawar Singh Shekhawat played by Fahadh Faasil who although forms the central negative role of the story acts on the revenge angle. Their conflict is the dramatic base of the film, evident in appreciable on screen chemistry and developing animosity. Of course, there is culture and colors, and beautiful locations and people, but there is also grim crime and punishment, well portrayed in the movie. Elaborate music composed by Devi Sri Prasad makes required additions to the feeling exciting part but not entirely fresh of the plot having seen-it-before feeling.

This movie rebuilds Pushpa’s character deeply in his new series and reveals the depth of his character as he takes charge responsibility and handles troublesome and treacherous situations in a conspicuous corrupt system. Ultimately, “Pushpa: In integral aspect, Rule – Part 2” has all the elements of a highly elevated action picture together with serving as a long overdue character study of an iconic character and person puts the audiences in an anticipative frame of mind for the future chapters in the life of Pushpa.
