The movie “Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1” is action drama film by direction of Sukumar that gives the glimpse of red sandalwood smuggling alongside ambition, identity clinch and moral dilemma. It is based on the life of Pushpa Raj, portrayed by Allu Arjun who is a lower class laborer with an illegitimate profession in a very risky society. Pushpa is the protagonist of the present story, who rises through the ranks of smugglers and betrays his own family and then fights against the law from which he is one step away, DSP Govindappa.
The Reddy Brothers and tight strategies show his persistence and desire for aiming at the top and the movie emphasizes the secondary price one has to pay for such promotion. The lead actor Allu Arjun shares commendable performance crowded with emotions and charm and the rest of the cast who spruces up the screen with the portrayal establishing the realistic feel of the showcasing smuggling syndicate. Sukumar has done a good job in handling the scenes and visioned, along with Mirosław Kuba Brożek’s photoframing, between picturesque and harsh, which forms the thriller mode of the film.
Packed with a great performance by Allu Arjun and being backed by a powerful narrative that is supported by a great score by Devi Sri Prasad and having a great sound designing the movie will definitely get the viewer’s attention. Therefore, it is a reflectionrint on the theme of power and status of the protagonists’ desire and vices and, thus, will be interesting to those who enjoy a powerful narrative and outstanding acting. The movie also leaves an outlook for a sequel in the making and continues the fight against prejudice in society and in families.
