*Mufasa: The Lion King* is the excellent prequel that raises the questions and answers them in context to the identity, loyalty and impact of past events. The story revolves around young Mufasa who gets lost and gets drowned in water, he survives and finds a friend, Taka in the jungle, who is also the rival of Mufasa’s kind. It is also manifested in their friendship which is the mode, theme and even the affect of the movie despite the hardships the character studies go through.
Beautiful, the animation warms colors of Savanah and the realistic picture and truly touches in the musical moves the message of the film. The film manages to pay respect to the original source and establish its personality, however the lack of some depth and uneven pacing took much away from experience.
Overall, *Mufasa: The Lion King* develops this idea further, it is a powerful reminder of how our history plays out and– most importantly, friendship. And even if it does not build a world on par with the one the novelist created, it offers a complex and embracing story of what it means to belong and the fabric of existence.
