AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Mayhem! - (review)

“Mayhem!” is a movie packed with excitement about struggling with the ideas of redemption, revenge and the past that always follows. Sam is the lead character, who has labored to put his life back together in Thailand after experiencing hard times. The tone is very straight and powerful, showing the cruelty of the sport, yet I couldn’t help but feel very connected to all he faced. Straightaway, I was attracted by how the film’s intensity was nicely included with quiet scenes on identity and what is lost.

It moves along quickly, skillfully mixing suspense with highly emotional scenes devoted to what it means to live dangerously. Even the best attempts to start over can be torn apart in an instant because past mistakes never fully go away. The way the film is put together keeps things moving fast which combines tension with heartbreak, ending with a strong finale. The way Sam is played by the lead is very strong; he shows just the right blend of spirit and vulnerability and Narong, played by others, adds extra moral depth.

The way the film is shot, with beautiful scenery on one side and tough city scenes on the other, expresses the film’s two main themes. The music intensifies the emotions, smoothly mixing exciting beats with melancholic tunes that reflect Sam’s inner battles. The story never drags thanks to aiming editing, realistic language and solid research by the director. an honest review of hope, despair and the lasting effect of love. Watching it gave me strong feelings and it had a real impact on me.
