The movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan is a well-done movie displaying the ability of Yash Chopra to combine dramatic emotional storytelling with spectacular visuals. The topics of love, faith, sacrifice, and destiny are displayed in the movie through the life of Samar, a fearless bomb expert, and his complicated relationships with Meera and Akira. The layered plot starting at different points in time and the various time periods gives it an emotional quality that made me want to stay with it and feel the emotional impact of the subject. The combination of the great action and the strong sense of romance in the film creates a whole range of emotions an emotion of hope to heartbreak, which makes the movie really worth watching.
The actions intensify the emotional effect of the movie. The character of Samar, played by Shah Rukh Khan, is both strong and weak, and it gets the courage of the hero and his inner struggle. There is a fresh, energetic feeling in Katrina Kaif’s Akira, and the feeling of guilt and longing is subtle and nuanced in Meera, the character of Anushka Sharma. The direction of Yash Chopra is beyond reproach, as it finds the spectacular landscapes and intimate movements and sequels as well. The beautiful sceneries, a heart-felt soundtrack by A. R. Rahman and a lyrical camera work adds an immortal appeal to the work, which gives every scene a sense of value and one that is easily remembered.
The most powerful message of the movie was its message of love perseverance and the need to have faith in something- in ourselves and others. It taught me that sometimes one has to sacrifice in order to love and have the bravery to forgive. Jab Tak Hai Jaan left me in a perfect state of upliftment and contemplation that the human spirit can have faith of hope and everlasting love despite all the odds. It is a touching tribute to the perennial strength of faith and it is one of those movies that you will never forget.
