Captivating movie ;Humraaz; directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas has got elements of deceit, avarice, love in revenge. The main theme revolves around a young man named Karan and his lady friend Priya who are in a dance troupe Group whose primary goal is to make it big. Karan thinks of a plan on how to get himself lots of money, all through having Priya wed Raj Singhania. But whereas Priya really falls in love with Raj, Karan turns green-eyed and decides to get revenge.
Karan Kapadia has portrayed the emotional stress quite well and the movie is quite rich with high spirited dance sequences. It raises critical issues on how well an individual can entrust his life with another person not to mention the role played by love as a virtue in exploiting that trust. Though it fails sometimes in aspects of tempo and character development it manages to get it perfectly right in the climax, making it another aspect of the show where the unpredictability of feelings is asserted.
All in all, *Humraaz* leaves the audiences enthralled with a tale of love and passion and leaves one wondering about duplicity in love or effects of ambition. While not offering new fresh ideas in the storytelling, its dramatic themes of vengance and second chances appeal to audience into complicated love stories.
