AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Headhunters - (review)

Headhunters keeps the audience excited with a mix of neat wit and suspenseful plot twists. In the film, Roger, a human resources executive, seems to live in wealth, but is secretly an art thief. To keep up with his rich lifestyle, Geneva starts planning riskier and riskier strategies which eventually lead to him planning to steal an expensive painting belonging to Clas, who is a potential candidate for Roger’s company. Through its many unexpected moments which mix suspense with clever humor, the plot keeps everyone engaged.

Fast and well-structured, the movie keeps shifting the audience’s expectations, with an engaging lead character at its center. Roger is a character that is likable, hungry for wealth and very desperate and the clever writing shifts between funny and intense moments which keeps viewers interested. Filmmakers made confident decisions, using close-ups and suspenseful scenes to build tension and the visuals reveal Roger’s wealthy life and the real threat that follows him.

For me, the story most strongly focused on deception and the risks of chasing great wealth. It highlights the extent individuals may get to, trying to maintain their idea of being successful, at times putting themselves in danger. Its narrative keeps you excited and interested and the blend of humor and suspense shows how greed and ambition can be viewed. All in all, the movie is an exciting, sophisticated thriller that makes you think about how easily the balance between law and disorder can be broken.
