Hari Hara Veera Mallu* transports the viewers to a radiantly visualized 17 th -century Mughal India with a reimagined visual history of larger-than-life heroism. The story in the film focuses on Veera Mallu, the legendary Robin Hood type of revolutionary, and the characters actions draw sympathy and even emulation in a way that is both emotionally moving and inspiring. The movie is rich in incredible settings, costumes, and cinematography to depict the emotions of the period and its brilliance and threat of danger. The direction also has the adrenaline-pumping action with moments of introspection, which are equally well highlighted by the score.
The most touching bit was the undeterred sense of purpose of Veera Mallu and his thirst of a justice in a world of disorder and deceit. The climax of the story when the heroic confrontation with Aurangzeb takes place during the storm is symbolic and realistic ending leaving imprints of heroism and sacrifice. Some of the elements of narration seem overly fantastical or fabulistic, but the sense of empathetic response to the message of the film, which rises in the struggle against oppression and tyranny to defend the persecuted, that really hit me. It is an entertaining, thrilling piece of cinema that effuses a lot of spectacle with the tenderness of the narrative, resulting in a thrilling film experience.
