Flight Risk - (review)

Directed by Gregory Lewis the tense thriller “Flight Risk” depicts a critical survival adventure that plays out inside a little plane flying through the Alaska wilderness. Through the story a pilot named Mark Wahlberg leads the journey that carries an Air Marshal played by Michelle Dockery along with the fugitive Topher Grace toward their trial. The flight transforms into an intense power battle where characters conceal their motivations thus creating constant doubt about their true objectives among the audience.Through its alternating focus on urgency and self-reflection the plot absorbs greater tension from the isolating environment of Alaska.

The film relies onoubted performances by Wahlberg as the tense airline pilot and Dockery as the emotionless air marshal and Grace as the complex fugitive to create a compelling story focused on human characters. Through his focused direction and remarkable filmmaking style Lewis depicts the vastness of wilderness against confining spaces and Nathaniel Mechaly develops an intense mood with his original score and sound effects.

A combination of well-editing produces high-energy sequences that build characters and eventually produce gripping tension. Fans of thrilling stories will find “Flight Risk” delivers both complex character development and intense suspense making it an excellent choice for audiences of the genre. Through its examination of ethical problems alongside relationship development the movie maintains audience interest beyond standard entertainment while creating a strong appetite for additional stories.
