“Exterritorial” Sara is a Special Forces soldier who visits the US consulate in Frankfurt but experiences an ominous start to her stay when her young child vanishes. A troubling discovery emerges when consulate staff fails to remember the presence of the boy thus creating an unsettling mystery about his disappearance.
Sara makes a crucial choice after consulate officials demand her departure and she acknowledges German authorities have minimal power to act inside consulate territory. The desperate mother chooses illegality by staying at consular grounds while hiding throughout the building to continue her search for her child.
While searching the consulate buildings Sara maintains no awareness that her behavior brings her nearer to a dangerous underground plot. The “dangerous intrigue” tightens its noose because of her presence in the diplomatic compound exposing her to a massive sinister conspiracy which she unknowingly became involved in.
