The movie “Cradle 2 the Grave” is an action flick starring Jet Li and DMX both known actors, from the late 1990s and early 2000s. In the film Ling, a jewel thief steals a collection of black diamonds but gets captured by ruthless criminals. As he embarks on a mission to rescue his daughter Ling finds himself caught in a web of deceit involving two crooks, a foe and a corrupt detective.
The films cinematography is impressive featuring dynamic fight scenes and thrilling stunts performed at heights. Jet Li shines with his trademark blend of martial arts prowess and jaw dropping stunts while DMX delivers a performance as Lings loyal accomplice. Mark Dacascos excels in his role as the villain opposite Jet Lis character. Although the plot is straightforward with action sequences, the movie excels in delivering fights and adrenaline pumping car chases.
The soundtrack sets a tone with its hip hop and electronic beats. However some aspects, like the storyline, character development, dialogue delivery and acting performances may come across as flat or clichéd at times. One could definitely see “Cradle 2 the Grave” as an action film that fans of the genre’re sure to appreciate.
