AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Colombiana - (review)

Intense action is the opening theme in “Colombiana,” which uses strong emotions throughout the movie. It’s a movie about a girl trying to take revenge when she witnesses her parents’ deaths, as it explores ideas about justice, experiencing trauma and bouncing back. In action movies, loud action mixes with scenes where the hero deals with what happened before and plans revenge.

You can experience every moment of danger as the story unfolds in Bogota and in other places. By filming experience-rich scenes, Olivier Megaton reveals the difference between how stunning the city is and how ruthless it can be. Saldana does her job skillfully, demonstrating Uhura’s journey, making what happens to her seem significant. When music is used, the tense moments in the film become even more exciting.

Perhaps the story is predictable, but it’s the steady pacing and emotional intensity that make this film better than most revenge movies. I found the story most powerful whenever I saw the young woman face difficulties and seek justice through tough times. This book clearly illustrates the possibility for people to survive difficulties and find redemption. Seeing the film reminded me that the worst difficulties for some can still be the most important to them.
