2013 Carrie adaptation of the novel by Stephen Kings rewrites the story of revenge from the girl who was repeatedly bullied in a terrifying Carrie White who can move objects. First of all, the movie does cause audience to feel sorry for Carrie and to see the message of ostracizing inadequate and strong-willed girl who can also stand up for herself. Another source of conflict that appears to provide more depth to the movie is the tension between Carrie and her crazily religious mother Margaret;
the audiences get to see all over again how mere fear from personal authority – particularly religious – can lead to societal regression, and even evil. Regarding the prom night – the culmination of the film – two visual aspects, and music outstanding expectations are created. As for the strength of the Director in horror and social issues in the plot of the movie is a bit fine tuned but some cheesy and raw character arcs may be considered as demerit.
Although certain moments *Carrie* represents the ispiveness that comes from the trauma and occurs in outbreaks of violence, as well as it is emotionally fascinating and makes people think about the consequences of suppressed pain. At last, it turns into an appealing appeal to the necessity of mercy within a tough life situation.
