The movie ‘Bodyguard’, from Bollywood directed and produced by Siddique follows the story of Lovely Singh, a bodyguard tasked with protecting Divya, the daughter of a man. In this comedy Lovelys professional demeanor evolves into affection for Keanu leading to intense confrontations due to misunderstandings.
Salman Khan shines in his role as Lovely while Kareena Kapoor falls short in capturing the essence of an woman in distress. Raj Babbar adequately portrays Divyas father. Doesn’t significantly contribute to the screenplay or the predictable storyline. Despite its shortcomings “Bodyguard” offers entertainment with elements and a satisfying conclusion. The movie delivers love, laughter, action sequences, music and songs typical of cinema.
While it may not bring anything groundbreaking to the table it serves as a choice for an evening, without dull moments. Salman Khan might consider adding “Bodyguard” to his list of films as it falls into the category of a Bollywood hit that doesn’t particularly stand out but is sure to be a watch, for fans of feel good movies or those looking for some easy entertainment.
