Interestingly, another film in this list put out by Somnath Bhardwaj titled ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ also confirms with the main theme of love, repentance and effect from the past. The film revolves around Ravi, the young Arjun Kapoor, which after being imprisoned for 20 years wants to find the girl, Meera, beautiful Shraddha Kapoor. The film delivers the power and potential for Ravi’s struggle of being starved for memory and desire to regain life, while maintaining the viewers’ emotionally engaging and invested in memories of Meera.
The play under discussion features brilliant cast of the main characters accompanied by a number of secondary heroes that embody the main problem of Ravi. The use of light and darkness is remarkable – the blacks of Ravi’s past and the whites of his new life.
While in the case of the film they got it wrong of getting the pacing all wrong, especially in the second act, and as if that was not enough, they over act which should never be the case. However, complete justice has been done by ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ in making people do what they are watching feel and think while telling them that they could find love and redemption. Thus for those people who regret of their decision it becomes kind of a story that they may relate to.
