AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Amaran - (review)

Amaran shows viewers the hard truths of life in Kashmir through both the challenging situations and the courage of the people. It stirs in people a sense of love for their country, understanding of others’ emotions and thoughts about what war takes from us all. The way the film depicts this situation leaves a lasting impact on the viewer, making it both engaging and unforgettable.

Sivakarthikeyan performs perfectly as Major Mukund Varadarajan, making him seem authentic and quietly powerful in the movie. The movie shows the right balance between intensity and detailed exploration of the decisions, inner emotions and what one must give up for their country. It deals with ideas of duty, giving up what’s needed and making peace, all without unnecessary violence, so that the audience can feel for the characters and their growth.

The film looks beautiful, showing the toughness of Kashmir as well as the devastation of war. The careful attention to detail in the film and the soft background music allow the audience to feel more emotionally involved. The direction manages to explore the challenges of being in the military and getting along with others, with the editing guaranteeing the story remains interesting. On the whole, the movie treats its soldiers with compassion, highlighting what they face and hope for which makes it more interesting than a simple war film. Even though the secondary characters are not very well developed, *Amaran* is memorable for its heartfelt depiction of those who struggled and sacrificed.
