Aar Ya Paar S01 is a powerful and provocative show, which explores the intricate strata of human morality and survival. Its story swings between the animal nature of tribal warriors and the harshness of city life that make it look incredibly simpler, which makes the series rich in terms of its theme. Focused on the turbulent life of Shekhar Khosla, who is played with a grimy reality by Jackie Shroff, the show examines how desperation and amoral conduct can lead to the disappearance of the distinction between what is right and wrong and leaves the spectators wondering whether they are loyal and upright themselves.
The show is a brilliantly done series with crisp storytelling, evocative cinematography and a haunting score which increases emotional value. It is assured, purposeful and balances scenes of unheddled intensity with nuances of character.
