The A-Team is a very exciting and adrenaline packed action film that delivers the fun and merry mood of the 80s TV series with a fresh breath. Right in the opening scene, the film drags you into the land of bold actions, thrilling action scenes, and humorous jokes. The group of actors, headed with the charismatic Liam Neeson in the role of Hannibal Smith, achieves a great effect of depicting the team bond, being quite believable and interesting. The mood is jocular and hard boiled and the use of harsh action is tempered with humour, and witty repartee. There is the dynamic direction and polished visuals of the film, which keeps the viewers adrenaline pumping until the credits roll.
The thing that appealed to me most was a sense that the movie praises resilience, loyalty and ingenuity. It was very thrilling to see these four veterans struggling to clear their image against evil administration and fierce villains and in them I found a touch of hope and pride. The unending friendship of the characters and the resourcefulness made the story warm and hearted and reminded me why it is important to trust and stand on each others side when something wrong has happened. The action scenes are skillfully executed and visually striking, though it is the interpersonal relationships and very funny dialogue which just made the story stick in the mind. The rhythm and the humor of the film were made with elegance and pleasure making you smile and feel good after watching the movie.
Although there are few plot developments that are somewhat predictable, *The A-Team* works due to the fact that it knows what it is and that is a crowd-pleasing, fun-filled blockbuster. It is a film that tempts you to put your thoughts aside and instead have a good time, spurring the importance of teamwork and strength. I am energized, entertained and I felt that feeling of watching a simple adrenaline action film again. It is a guilty pleasure that somehow manages to mix the spectacle and the heart all at once making it the ideal ground to feast to anyone who just wants to get a kick out of the “apples of their eyes.”
