AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Now & Later - (review)

“Now & Later” is a poignant drama that explores themes of existentialism and morality through the experiences of two contrasting characters: Angela aNi-caraguan who is anillegal immigrant in America andBilly aformerly successfulbanker turned fraudster inthe lamin of Los Angeles. This work is built round fire, Bill, and after being fired and sinking himself in his business, the protagonist has nothing left except his clothes, meeting liberal and rather free-souled Angie in a bar. He gets love from her and this opens his eyes to the real him leading to a change in his outlook to life from being purely characterized by power and wealth.

The film has way more of a brooding and individual perspective that there’s a subplot where Angela takes one for the group and Bill pans out from pointless to looking at the bright side. The two leads bring out freshness to each other’s mental and physical attribute of their respective personality. It is a success of direction and cinematography that their changes can be used to also present the realistic view of Los Angeles.

serving the dramatic potential of the picture, its score contributes to the dramatic opportunities of the mise-en-context of the city and Angela’s warm lovely flat where ‘Now & Later’ underlines the value of true love rather than the material well-being. This is why it makes the audiences reflect on their life choices and the outcomes of their actions, and, therefore, is ideal for fans of fictional pieces which make them be themselves – DISC.
