Truth Or Dare - (review)

In *Truth or Dare* the youths learn about the price of secrets through a horrifying ordeal result from their most beloved party game by Jeff Wadlow. It is about a couple of college relations who go to Mexico with some friends for a joke to meet a strange man named Carter who plays this game ‘Never Been There Ever Been Here’ and the game becomes deadly all characters are forced to fight and reveal something horrible about themselves and their relationships with each other and their friend.

Friendship and betrayal, and loyalty are effectively illustrated when the characters are threatened by supernatural vengance that is related to secrets. I like that Olivia transforms from a silly naive girl to being an existential threat portrayed by Lucy Hale. Lights and visuals can add value on the top of the story; the visuals of the ‘Mexican paradise’ turned out to be opposite to the horror that is behind them and the sound.

But still, it attempts to show all the elements familiar to each viewer of the horror and the scenes that can seem clichéd and tried and true. But such is unimportant for the movie and all in all, *Truth or Dare * is a good reflection of how the mask of normality loses to the abyss of the human spirit. Thus, the spectator does not only deny the concealed facts by the film’s ending, but also realizes that they are a mere games, which people perform in life.
