”Armour of God” is directed by the very famous Jackie Chan and the movie is an action-comedy similar in nature to the Indiana Jones movie. Jackie Chan portrays the role of Asian Hawk an adventure seeking to recover artifacts all over Europe. The story starts with Hawk finding a mysterious sword in Africa and gets the fight with a group of Satan-worshiping monks who kidnap his ex-girlfriend Lorelei, to gain the sword plus segments of the Armour of God.
The episodes are filmed at high pace that combines mystery of investigation with the humor and spectacular stunts characteristic for Jackie Chan. Comedy is supplemented by his acquaintance with a stupid partner, and the mass cast adds action and light humor to the film. As a director Chan’s cultural signatures are heavily reflected within the structure of the flick with well coordinated fight scenes audaciously improvising between martial arts and over the top comedy all set against jaw dropping European landscapes.
While some of the effects may seem rather low budget, the physical tricks are realistic. Altogether, “Armour of God” The movie is an example of an action-comedy pic-turing with sincere emotions concerning the focus on antiques and thinking of the devoted sacrifices. The movie is a true action-comedy one which shows the best in Jackie Chan and the funniness of adventurous searches for treasure and heart.
