Jade is a new age thriller with Aditi Rao behind the director’s chair and Aditi Sharma in the lead as a grey character. It narrates a woman, a murder-succumbs, guilty of her brother’s death, becoming involved between a business man and a gang leader to fight over a hard drive containing information that threatens Interpol. In her attempt to recover the drive she transforms into the protagonist who goes on a quest to reform whereas is the act of defending her brother’s unborn child.
The film is action-oriented, but it has an amazingly powerful dramatic subtext delivered by proficient performance of Priyanka Sharma. The secondary characters, Ravi Teja and Arjun Rampal action also contributed significantly to the movie build up of suspense. In terms of cinematography, the motion picture displays battle scenes relatively realistically; at the same time in terms of music, it rises the emotional pitch of a story.
To a certain extent there are still some problems pertaining to pacing at certain stages and it is obvious that some aspects action of the characters is elaborated quite somewhat perfunctorily. Despite all the declared themes characteristic of Chinese cinema, *Jade* did not lose its chance to conveniently deal with such issues as guilt and redemption, or the capacities of human relations. In general, there is a possibility to consider it as an entertaining drama-thriller which contributes to changing traditional impressions on women and tends to create audience interest up to the very end due to the dramatic switching between the drama and the actions scenes.
