Classified - (review)

**Summary of Movie Review: Classified**

Well, if the spy is to be classified then “Classified” is one show that fits the bill perfectly having a rather original concept where a CIA hitman goes about taking hits based on classified ads in a newspaper until he realizes that the division he works for has been defunct for several years. It creates intense feeling of anxiety intermingled with deep personal reflections, comical moments at the same time it also discusses social isolation and the pursuit of meaning in the now apparent illusion of existence.

Jane Doe as a director brilliantly combines black humor with such drama so the audience can follow the hero’s fate in terms of emotions. The protagonist gives a good account embracing the calories of his role and complexities of the character’s transition besides the strong casts that enhance the storyline.

From the visually perceptible viewpoint, the film’s mise-en-scene is shot in the retro style and has rather low contrast and this corresponds to the concept of memory and identity. At some point in this it may show a problem in the pacing but over all it was able to capture the process of changing of the protagonist. Finally, “Classified” provokes to recall interpretableness of reality in referential intercourse of illusions; as such, “Classified” is both funny and pathetic show that makes individuals laugh heartily as well as think when the show is over.
