The movie credits itself as an early Song Dynasty action film centered around the traditions of a legendary hero Yang Ye, whose deeds enabled his children, Yang Baba and Yang Jiumei, restore a stolen nine-linked golden blade appropriated by the enemy ten years prior to the events of the movie. Stimulated by love and responsibility to repair father’s shameful deeds of adulertery and betrayal, the sisters make a dangerous journey that depicts true sisters’ devotion, courage and endurance.
The over-arching storyline gives focus on introducing of Jiao Guangpu who used to be a soldier and then another valuable comrade treatment of which brings out the idea of fellowship to overcome challenges. High-tempo motion-picture combines the hardcore action with the themes tying to the idea of family, backed up by remarkable camera work and fight scenes.
The flash of some plot can be recognized but really nice acting of the leading actors makes the picture sincere. Lastly, *Blocking the Horse* is a very exciting action-packed story rousing to themes of heritage and heroism, bravery, and willingness to yield the ultimate price, something that larger swaths of readers keen on heroic sorts of offerings would appreciate.
