Baahubali 1: The Beginning - (review)

“Baahubali: The first episode Written and Directed by S.S.Rajamouli is rightly said to be a myth in making providing an excellent narration and an excellent journey through the celluloid. In the wake of compelling storyline of Baahubali, the movie holds themes such as identity, destiny and valiantness in a battle between black and white throughout the life of Shivudu.

Can be credited as a male lead – Shivudu, from Rajamouli’s flick, Prabhas shares a good chemistry, he does get overwhelmed with emotions when he has the scope, Rana Daggubati as cunning Bhallaladeva. The decrement chemistry amongst the large ensemble cast includes Tamannah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty whom adds more depth to the emotions scenes against the background of grand battle sequences.

The direction of the movie maker Rajamouli is very good, great cinematography by K.K. Senthil Kumar for the beautiful shot of Mahishmati kingdom. Supported by a strong music piece by M.M. Keeravani and well-orchestrated, the narrative has a good tempo where the characters also get the chance to evolve while not overshadowing the action part.

However, the epic nature of the movie has a profound foundation and moving little soul as it takes the audiences through silence and selflessness. Ultimately, “Baahubali: That is why “The Beginning” is not only a movie but socially significant phenomenon which creates expectations for epical narrative that are left in people’s memory. Definitely for people who like adventures and great stories.
