*Criminal* is an unconventional-action and science fiction movie by Ariel Vromen, based on the late CIA agent, Bill Pope (Ryan Reynolds), memories and skills of the convener Jerico Stewart (Kevin Costner). The action is an espionage with the shades ofLong Journey Home ‘s’ship and internal conflict, as a result of Jerico receiving his amnesia, is both burdened and consumed by fighting his own memories.
Costner gives the best performance, depicting a man struggling with himself with great success; Good contributions by the rest of the cast, including Gadot & Oldman give rich dimension to the story line. The social experience of the film is good with the nice camera work and good execution of action scenes which makes them exciting but the individual scene may seem forced and there is not enough depth on character motivations in the movie.
, in general, the series *Criminal* focuses on the problems of identity and the possibility of personality transformation. Even though the film may not overhaul the concept of action flicks, it has a story to tell, a story that viewers can follow keenly.
