AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Beasts of No Nation - (review)

The movie *Beasts of No Nation* of Cary Joji Fukunaga, the movie based on the civil war in an unnamed West African country and experience of a young boy named Agu. The major theme of this television for film is the horrors of war by the eyes of children as well as the aspect of conscription of Agu and the transformation that results from the war.

Mamoru Miyano gives innocent look and deep emotions playing Friendly and Abraham Attah as boy Sergeant Kilborn and Idris Elba as evil commander adds the movie some dramatic feel. From the stylistic perspective the film starts to interweave spectacular locations in West Africa, impressive scenes in cinematography and, on the other hand, rather gritty portrayal of the occupied child soldier’s life.

Besides pain or covering their power, the right to live, and loss of childhood to face moral questions about child soldiers. Some of the scenes depicted are quite disturbing but *Beasts of No Nation* is not easily forgotten: it induces profound philosophy about the value of people in war and should occupy in the history of cinema.
